“I inherited from my grandmother a wrought iron pergola in the style of the first house (built in 1837) where I first lived on my own. It was quite damaged, so I thought about designing a new one with contemporary materials. We used it a lot because it was in the middle of the garden and it was very nice to be in its shade to relax or eat or have a drink or listen to music or read. ”
